    Leaderhip Workshop

There is a difference between leading, managing, and being a member of the team. Leadership is about setting direction and causing change. Leadership is about getting people to move in a direction of your choosing performing tasks that you want them to do. At times, a leader must be able to communicate, inspire, motivate, persuade, and compel people to act. On the other hand, management is about helping people learn the work and providing a structure for that work to occur.

In this workshop, executive and managers learn the difference between leadership and management. To start we examine the work each person is performing. In the workshop, we examine expectations for leaders and managers. For executives, we focus on ways to inspire, persuade, influence and motivate employees. For managers, we focus on ways to create and manage stable effective work environments. As a part of the workshop, the participants learn about different leadership styles and they identify their natural styles of leading. At the conclusions of the workshop, we teach participants how to adjust their leadership styles to fit different situations and different people. As a take away activity, participants develop their own leadership profiles and a set of tactics they can use to meet the important demands they face as leaders and managers in their job.

All CBA workshops are customized to meet the unique needs of the companies with which we work. Typically, a workshop can be either a half-day event or an all-day session. Workshops are developed for the intended audience, whether executives, managers, or employees. Participants in CBA workshops on leadership and management receive a copy of CBA's book Finding The Right Path: A Guide To Leading and Managing A Title Insurance Company.
